Our graduate trainee scheme is a three year, fully supported training programme which leads to qualification as a chartered accountant.  We recruit between 4 and 6 graduates each year with a 2:1 degree in a relevant discipline and a minimum of 280 UCAS points.  Applicants are required to take a numeracy and verbal reasoning test as well as attend an initial interviews and an assessment centre with a further interview with a Partner of the Firm.

We also recruit 2- 4 A’ Level entrants and support them through a 2 year AAT study route and from there through the ACCA or ACA study route where appropriate.  There are two interviews and numerical and verbal reasoning tests as the selection process for this training route

Recruitment for both intakes starts on 1 October each year when full details and application forms are available from our website. The closing date for Graduate applications is 31 December for February for A’ Level applicants it is 1 February.

Initial assessment of graduates suitability and skills are undertaken by SWAT UK. Those applicants whom SWAT UK feel are suitably equipped to become a successful accountant AND whom they feel to be the right applicant to reflect our ethos and approach to work and clients will be put forward to Brebners. These applicants are then asked to attend an assessment day where they will speak to at least two partners. The assessment day incorporates a number of activities, including a group exercise. Successful applicants will then be invited to train with Brebners. We take on students to start in September and January.
